The topic of AID Monuments 2015 will be The materials and techniques in the regeneration of the public architectural heritage. This topic will be analysed along two macro-sessions interacting among themselves: in the first, special attention will be devoted to the characteristics and peculiarities of restoration materials and techniques; the second session will be dedicated to the illustration of researches and applicative experiences relative to the regeneration of public architectural heritage. The conference will be the occasion for a critical examination of different materials and techniques in the ancient and contemporary monuments conservation (from timber to steel, from concrete to composite) and their effective application in tangible cases with special attention to the interaction among architecture and engineering. Following the same approach of the first edition, the aim of Aid Monuments 2015 will be to built around this theme an exchange among different cultural and scientific fields: history of architecture, architectural drawing and survey, mechanics of materials, structural analysis, urban planning, architectural conservation and restoration.

Abstract

The topic of AID Monuments 2015 will be The materials and techniques in the regeneration of the public architectural heritage.
